Jamnik Jr., Albert Benedict
Sep 4, 2017Albert Benedict Jamnik Jr. ("Sonny" or "Jammer"), age 78, passed away at his home in Avondale on Aug. 29, 2017. He was born on Oct. 28, 1938, to Albert B. and Irene Jamnik. He was a 1956 graduate of Pueblo County High School. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Rhonda Livengood, Alan Jamnik (Stacy Smith); granddaughters, Brianna Evert (John), Ashica Smith; great-granddaughters, Aubrynne Cozzetto and Kailynne Evert; sisters, Donna Riebschlager (J.R.), Sharon Ellingboe (Robert), Susan Latka, Shirley Steward (Brad), Betty Aldrich; brother, Warner Jamnik; and numerous other relatives. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; niece, Debbie Oster; and other relatives and in-laws. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and he loved the mountains. He loved racecars, and had raced stock cars at Beacon Hill with Alan. Albert was a hard worker, working on the farms when he was young, and retiring from CF&I after 50 years. He loved his family and friends, and will be dearly missed. Viewing will be 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.
